How do we discern spirits? Discern *To separate by the eye, or by the understanding.  Discernment *discerning; also, the power or faculty of the mind, by which it distinguishes one thing from another, as truth from falsehood. In First Corinthians 12:10, Paul refers to “distinguishing between spirits” (or “discerning of spirits” in the NKJV) – as a spiritual gift that God gives to believers in order to recognize lying spirits and to identify deceptive and erroneous doctrines. Because the Holy Spirt is on the inside of us, if you've received Jesus as your Lord, then we can tap into that and He will reveal to us what is of God and what is not of God! It's been quite awhile since I've been on blog spot and posted.I'm not certain why it has taken so long. Life is just busy and it doesn't seem to let up any.  Since last year, SCIH has been holding its own, working on videos and posting on Facebook and Twitter. Soon to be adding to the TO DO list will be more praying and seeking God in direction. The only way to be going in the right direction is to be doing what God has said to do. AND I can honestly say, there is one thing that I need to be obedient in and I have failed to do that. I'm not certain why...maybe because of the "strange" thing that it is...? But God knows the outcome of situations and we just have to TRUST HIM...that is all He asks of us. TO TRUST and BE OBEDIENT! I'm a thinker! And I often over think things! Sometimes it is not for my best interest at heart and can cause some conflicts. But I do like to figure out why people do what they do. We all come from different backgrounds so we've all learned to deal with things in different ways, your way may not be like my way, but it doesn't mean it is wrong. However, when other people are involved, we need to be sensitive to the needs of others and take into consideration how they feel. I've always been one that just wanted to get to the bottom of something (find the root), talk about it - oh communication is a MAJOR thing in my life, and deal with it! I want things fixed. I want peace and follow peace! I've told my husband a thousand times, if there is something I'm doing wrong, please let me know so I can fix it. It's amazing just how much you REALLY need your mom!  Your mom is always the one that you go to for every day questions, maybe cooking questions, maybe just needing knowledge about an issue. Whatever the case, it's awesome just to call your mom and say hello!  After mom (Bonnie Moore a/k/a Dear Grace) moved to Heaven last October, there's many emotions I've had to deal with. You think you're okay and then out-of-the-blue, something jars your memory and there goes the tears. You often catch yourself wanting to give her a call. My mom was a strong woman. I don't ever recall her being ill many times in her life. When she was sick, she would jump right back in the path of life and get busy. You often here the quote #thestruggleisreal. We all have issues in our life that are sometimes struggles. Not one of us has the perfect life.  John 16:33 says "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." Just because we are living right and doing right does not mean that everything will be hunky dory! We all have temptations & trials and no one is exempt from that.  HOWEVER, we can have PEACE EVEN in the midst of trial because Jesus is always there! He has sent the Holy Spirit who dwells on the inside of us to help us in all things! I'm going to share with you a struggle that I have. The one thing that is hardest for me is keeping my weight under control! All through-out the years, even as a teenager, I was on a diet.  TODAY, I am on a diet! I LOVE FOOD! I love CANDY! CAKE!
