This is who ME is!

I'm a thinker! And I often over think things! Sometimes it is not for my best interest at heart and can cause some conflicts. But I do like to figure out why people do what they do. We all come from different backgrounds so we've all learned to deal with things in different ways, your way may not be like my way, but it doesn't mean it is wrong. However, when other people are involved, we need to be sensitive to the needs of others and take into consideration how they feel. I've always been one that just wanted to get to the bottom of something (find the root), talk about it - oh communication is a MAJOR thing in my life, and deal with it! I want things fixed. I want peace and follow peace! I've told my husband a thousand times, if there is something I'm doing wrong, please let me know so I can fix it. Don't shove it under the rug for us to trip on it later. Issues will NEVER fix them self. You may think they do, but they

Mom Memories

It's amazing just how much you REALLY need your mom!  Your mom is always the one that you go to for every day questions, maybe cooking questions, maybe just needing knowledge about an issue. Whatever the case, it's awesome just to call your mom and say hello!  After mom (Bonnie Moore a/k/a Dear Grace) moved to Heaven last October, there's many emotions I've had to deal with. You think you're okay and then out-of-the-blue, something jars your memory and there goes the tears. You often catch yourself wanting to give her a call. My mom was a strong woman. I don't ever recall her being ill many times in her life. When she was sick, she would jump right back in the path of life and get busy. She was always helping other people, whether it was cooking meals, feeding their cats, taking them to the Dr, whatever it was, she was joyful in all she did. Mom would find humor in the small things. She was really a hoot! She loved to go to Branson and en

Struggles

You often here the quote #thestruggleisreal. We all have issues in our life that are sometimes struggles. Not one of us has the perfect life.  John 16:33 says "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." Just because we are living right and doing right does not mean that everything will be hunky dory! We all have temptations & trials and no one is exempt from that.  HOWEVER, we can have PEACE EVEN in the midst of trial because Jesus is always there! He has sent the Holy Spirit who dwells on the inside of us to help us in all things! I'm going to share with you a struggle that I have. The one thing that is hardest for me is keeping my weight under control! All through-out the years, even as a teenager, I was on a diet.  TODAY, I am on a diet! I LOVE FOOD! I love CANDY! CAKE! SNACKS! I just love to eat! (Sweets is my down fall)! But I

Travels

Recently my husband and I traveled to another state for him to have a hip surgery.  As much as we thought we were prepared, there's really nothing that can prepare you like you need to be. Just for your info...DID YOU KNOW that if you drink alot of water before a blood test that they can find your veins better? Wow! No more than one poke. Why is this not something that is told? Before the surgery, the Dr will inform you of what will happen, they even have video's, a class, and a ton of information that is at your fingertips. After surgery, PT & OT are there to help you with knowing what you need to do, how you need to move, etc. They make sure you are well-educated before sending you home. This hospital where my husband had surgery was very nice. They were very organized and every thing was on track. They keep you well informed about the surgery process and how the patient is doing. It is truly amazing to see a business be so well organized. And the food is delish
