In today's world, we have so many distractions. It can be hard to stay focused reading the Bible or praying because there are so many things that are causing our minds to wonder. We may see a good verse and want to "share" it on Facebook or Twitter AND THEN we start wondering what everyone else is up to and end up spending our "God time" wasting "Our time"! In Romans 7:15 Paul tells us, "I don't really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don't do it. Instead, I do what I hate." It is an everyday struggle to do what we know God wants us to do. We are not gaining "points" with God if we DO these things, but it sure puts us in a better place and keeps our faith steady so that we can receive the things God wants us to receive. You may be thinking, "well, there's really nothing I am needing...life is good...my bills are paid..."...BUT ONE DAY may come and someone in your family o...

Are you a bread lover? A chocolate lover? A candy lover? Have you noticed the more you age, the harder it is to lose those extra pounds? Have you ever been on a diet forcing yourself to eat more fruits & veggies and stay away from your favorite breads/carbs? You begin to lose a little weight and then you open the refrigerator and are tempted to eat just a "little bite of a bagel". After all, a little won't hurt!  So you eat the "little bite" and are really not satisfied so you go back and eat "another" little bite. But by the end of the day, you've eaten the whole bagel and possibly a couple more!  The next morning you jump on the scale, praying you didn't gain any weight..and whew! You didn't....but then weeks down the road, after continuing to eat foods that are unhealthy...those favorite jeans are filling a little snug. It didn't happen over night but it sure did sneak up on ya. After feeling disguste...

Women now have so many options when it comes to make-up & face creams.                The older we get, the more concerned you become with aging skin and ways to improve the appearance of wrinkles and age spots. There’s many companies that advertise  brands of make-up and promise how young and beautiful your skin will appear, if you only try “their” make-up. But in watching many hours of make-up tutorials, reviews of products, brushes, and applications...I’ve learned one thing…. It’s truly not about the brand of make-up you are using,  but how  you are applying the make-up you have! Just like applying make-up, we have to “apply” the Word of God correctly in our life, in order for it to work. The “foundation” may be right in front of us, but in order to “build” on it, we must first apply it. We cannot see any results ...

This time of year, while some are enjoying Christmas shopping, and wrapping presents, Christmas carols, and fun parties, there are others who are not having the jolliest of seasons. Some are hurting, while others are physically sick. Some are burying loved ones and others just don’t feel the joy they need to. We must all slow down and remember the REASON for the SEASON! I just witnessed something I didn’t have to see my whole life. I thought it strange to hear a little bird crying like it needed its mamma. I went over to look at the bird that was chirping very loudly. I am unaware of the bird families and what they do or don’t do but not long before I had seen a huge bird fly overhead. My mind went back to the time there was a little fawn and its mother had left it, but returned for it. So, after taking my dog back in the house, I went again to check on the bird…after not hearing it chirp. When I found the place where the bird had laid, it was no longer there but replaced by a huge black snake. Oh! The thought that the little bird was crying for help and I was the only one that could help and I did not have a clue.
