WARNING SPOILER ALERT!!!!

Have you noticed that Christian people are a little "shady" of how they feel and what they believe? Have you noticed how "Hollywood" has thrown "shady" scenes in movies, television shows, etc? It happens so much that we are start conforming to it and don't even think it's a big deal anymore. Everyone is doing it and we get so use to seeing it that we don't make a big fuss over it and almost giving our approval of it, because we continue to watch it.  I mean after all, we DO give time to watching our favorite television shows...and wouldn't miss them for the world!!!

Let's dig a little deeper at some of our favorite shows. My husband and I like to watch "The Killing"! (And yes, I'm preaching to myself)! So, why in the world would I want to watch a killing show? The name in itself explains what it's all about. Someone dies and they have to solve the murder of who did it. Well, it's a little intense and dramatic and always makes you wonder, with the twists and turns who could have done such a thing? I love solving mysteries and would even be a detective, if that was God's plan for my life! I guess I need to use my "detective" fantasies to figure out why I like shows such as this. 

So one night we are watching this show and out of the blue there are two girls that "love" each other. Hmmmm, so let's just throw in a few ladies that have the hots for each other, cause after all, this is okay! 

My husband and I look at each other, during this scene and say "really?" Ohhh! Because Netflix took the show over, they now are able to throw in "stuff" like this.

So then the f-bomb goes off. Hmmm...I hate that word!!! But once again, it's not cable TV so they can use such a word Oh wait a minute....cable TV? What does THAT have to do with it? We actually have "standards" on CABLE TV too??? Umm, no! 

Have you seen Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, or America's Got Talent? These are some shows that are "suppose" to be "family friendly" but anymore, it's all about who can have the skimpiest outfit or dance the dirtiest and get away with it?

Let's talk about some more "family shows".....(am I getting too personal now?) I don't watch these shows but have found this information: "Pretty Little Liars"...well, right there by the name of that, we should know that there are going to be some liars in the program. Have you EVER been lied to? How does that make you feel? Can you trust that person again?

Here is some content advisory in this show: There are multiple relationships and kissing scenes throughout. There is a intimate relationship between a student and a teacher. Also lesbian relationships. There is also much talk of relationships throughout.

There are a at least 5 sexual scenes, no full nudity shown.

Here's the violence advisory: The plot of the series is about a girl supposedly being murdered, [spoiler] but it turns out another girl was murdered in her place. [spoiler]

There are stabbings, fighting, hit-and-runs, bashings and murder.

There is also many acts of murder. Many of the recurring characters on the show are killed.

There are multiple shootings, sometimes resulting in death.

Several supporting characters are murdered off-screen, if the victim struggled it's apparent when the crime scene is a ransacked building.

Throughout the show you see multiple dead bodies.

Profanity advisory: Words such as b****, h*** and d*** as well as other mild words are regularly said. And the list goes on and on. And this show is on ABC FAMILY!!!! 

THANK YOU IMBD that you can go and look up the Parent Advisory on each show/movie so that you can make a decision to watch that show or not. If we choose to watch shows, we sometimes have to fast forward through them. (We usually never watch anything while it is actually on. We don't have cable TV and own a Roku, so we are able to skip through most commercials when we watch something. And COMMERCIALS are a whole other topic! 

But what we are discussing ISN'T JUST about television shows, movies, etc. We can also talk about music & videos, You tube, Yahoo, Google...it's just EVERYTHING!!

I am checking my email the other day and up pops an ad for dating. I'm a married woman and I don't want to date. I don't EVEN CARE who is out there TO DATE!!!

But this is how the "world" works. EVERYTHING has SOMETHING in it! Something that tries to allure your eyes, allure your ears to the TRUTH!

AND you shall know THE TRUTH and THE TRUTH will set you FREE  ~John 8:32

A lot of times, people don't want to know the truth. They like being captive and in bondage to what they "want to know and believe"! And they even think that they are "free" because, after all, God loves everyone of us NO MATTER WHAT!!

AND GUESS WHAT??? HE DOES!!!!!! But the truth is, He DOESN'T like the things people do and the things people say and the way people act. He just doesn't! I LOVE my children but when they do wrong, I don't like that they do wrong and I won't make an excuse for them doing wrong. BUT I WILL LOVE them no matter what.

My world is either black or white. That's just how it is! God tells us in Revelation 3:16, " So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth." Being lukewarm is the same as being in the "gray/shaded area"! God doesn't go for that. You either ARE HIS or you AREN'T HIS!

What are people being "shady" about? Worshiping Idols, Gay/Lesbian relationships, Abortion, Witchcraft, and even shady as playing games that aren't good or watching TV programs that aren't good....the list goes on and on.

Why are people shady and don't want to be responsible for knowing the truth? Well, because people DON'T LIKE to be held accountable or responsible for ANYTHING! It's easier to blame someone else then take the responsibility.

Paul tells us in Romans 1:16,  "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile."

Paul continues to talk about the righteousness of God and also the wrath of God.

Romans 1:17-32

17. For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed--a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith."

18. The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness,

19. since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.

20. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

21. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.

22. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools

23. and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.

24. Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.

25. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator--who is forever praised. Amen.

26. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones.

27. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

28. Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.

29. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips,

30. slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents;

31. they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy.

32. Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

God clearly shows us that serving anything other than Him is serving an idol. If you are spending more time watching television, playing on your cell phone, listening to music. THAT is your idol!

God clearly shows us that gay/lesbian relationships are not of Him. He made man in His image and also created WOMAN to be a help mate.  He made man and woman to reproduce to replenish the earth and any other kind of relationship that cannot produce children, is an abomination to Him.

Abortion is the killing of a baby! We are commanded not to murder in Exodus 20:13. We are recognized as a person when we are in the womb. Jeremiah 1:5 says "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."  

As you probably know, movies such as Harry Potter (a young wizard) and a so-called love story between a human and a vampire (Twilight), attract the teenage groups and I even know a young lady that read the Twilight series and started dressing in black and wanted to marry a vampire. Wow! For one thing, parents, be aware of what your children are watching! These just aren't "movies" that are fun to watch. All through-out these kinds of movies are witchcraft side and a inappropriate things for young children, old children, and even adults to watch. It does change the way you think! This young girl was once a very sweet, kind young lady and after reading these books, she become a different person!

Witchcraft is very dangerous. It puts you in a thin "gray" area and you are opening yourself up to Satanic forces. It's just like ready horoscopes. Some people think their day is going to be exactly what their horoscope tells them it is. Well, my day is going to be the way GOD tells me it's going to be and This is the day that the LORD has MADE and I REJOICE in it - ALL DAY LONG, no matter what my circumstances are.  A horoscope is forecast of a person's future, typically including a delineation of character and circumstances, based on the relative positions of the stars and planets at the time of that person's birth.The only person that knows my future is God. He created me in His image and He is my Source for the future. Stay away from ALL APPEARANCE OF EVIL! When you start "playing" around with such things, you won't be in control over them, they will be in control over you.

When you question if something is good or right for you to do or bad and not right for you to do, then more than likely, you need to stay away from it! Just because that chocolate cake looks so luscious and moist and will melt in your mouth, may be old and stale and have the most horrible taste. Satan always makes things "look" appetizing. But once you get a big bite, it is nothing as it appears. And this is how Satan uses the things of this world to trap you.

Have you noticed an over abundant amount of suicides? It's because people let the lies of Satan deceive them into thinking that there is no other way out but to end their life. THIS IS A HUGE BIG FAT LIE! THERE IS A WAY!  But there is ONLY ONE WAY and that is coming to know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and by changing your ways! Christianity isn't a boring thing! It's the most exciting, exhilarating, and yet peaceful thing ever! To be confident to know that your needs will be met, that you are loved, that you are fulfilled in life, that you are cared for, and you are the most precious one in the sight of Jesus! He can give you EVERYTHING that you have need of. Maybe you are searching for a significant other to help with some of your needs of just wanting to be with someone to laugh and snuggle with. I promise you, I've been there too and guess what? JESUS CAN FULFILL that need as well! You can have the peace and joy and stability and everything because of Him!

We have the responsibility to care for ourselves because we are the temple of God. (I Corinthians 6:19). We treasure our cell phones and other items and wouldn't just want to throw them down to get cracked and broken. We need to cherish our self and protect who we are. We need to keep the darkness out and be a light to the world.

Shed the LIGHT on your dark world!!! There are no areas of gray. It is what it is. It's either black or white. It's either good or bad! CHOOSE RIGHT! CHOOSE JESUS!!!

In order to make it in this world, we must ask Jesus into our heart so that we can spend eternity with Him. And we must renew our minds to right living! We renew our minds by feeding on the Word of God and by keeping our minds & mouth full of GOOD THINGS! Garbage in is garbage out! Same with the Word. Good things in, good things out! We need to think on good things above!
