Common Sense

It amazes me just how much COMMON SENSE people DON'T HAVE! 

I'm not trying to belittle them in anyway, but as I was thinking of things that individuals do, over and over again, wondering why they have the same result......yet never changing what they do. It's very interesting to me.

But then again. I TOO have been in this SAME category, only its about different issues.

So, here is what I've been thinking though....

Why is it that young people who drink and think partying is all fun, have had an experience in the past with a friend passing away BECAUSE of alcohol, yet THEY TOO continue down that same path?  Do they feel as if they are protected from the SAME THING happening to them and do they think that it is WISE for their friends to have to go THROUGH the SAME THING if it DID happen to them?

Why is it that when I happen to go off my "diet", I eat EVERYTHING in sight, because I will just start "another diet" on Monday. And guess what? During the week, I fall off the band-wagon again, just to pig out again and wait till Monday to start all over. And how much weight do I actually lose doing that? Hmmmmmmm

Why is it that people think that God is the one that causes them harm or puts sickness on them? Is God not more loving than our own parents? Yes, there are parents that cause harm to their children, however, that IS NOT the LOVE OF CHRIST! He came to give life and everything MORE ABUNDANTLY...it is SATAN who comes to steal, kill, and destroy, yet, he never gets blamed for anything!  But then again, SOMETIMES it ISN'T HIS FAULT! I mean, AFTER ALL, he is doing what God's Word says he does.....but we just let him run over us and have havoc in our lives. We do the same things, we speak the same negative things, and then bad things happen and who do we blame? GOD! Hmmmmmm

Why is it that our public school systems are getting away with so much these days? Have you not noticed things changing gradually? I read in the newspaper today that homework is not that important getting it accomplished. Wow...so, the students can now just not finish their work and then if they take it home to finish and not bring it back, IT'S OKAY? Boy, this is REALLY teaching responsibility isn't it? Oh, but they will make up for it in other ways? And what is that? Never finishing ANYTHING because eventually, it will be made up for with "other things"?????

And why does all students have to have the same "achievements"? Why can they not "compete" against one another? Oh, let's not keep score for this ball game, we are ALL winners! Well, duh! We are in the sight of God but HELLO! REALLY????? How can you expect a child to learn to play hard, play his best, and to succeed if there is a reward for doing NOTHING anyways? I don't understand this!

And NOW they have a curriculum in schools known as "Common Core". If the teachers think this is wonderful, maybe you need to get some "COMMON sense" and think about it. It's okay if the child doesn't come up with the correct answer, just as long as he knows how to work the problem correct! And there is NEVER just one answer....there are many answers to a problem. This helps students learn to use their brain to come up with different ideas on one thing. WOW! Well, let's just put that child in the White House and solve the world problems..oh wait...he's already there! And, THAT IS a whole "other issue"!!! 

Come on people, get it together! Get some common sense!!!Kids are learning that there are no repercussions for anything that they do. Have you noticed that its the same people in jail for 8 DWI's? What have they learned from drinking and driving?

What has gotten into people to let issues get so out-of-hand that it would take a miracle to get everything back that this nation was built on?

It is frustrating to see a little change here and there everyday...but by the end of the year, these changes are MASSIVE and since we let this little something "slip" in, we can't go back and fix it. It is already in place.

GET COMMON SENSE! CHECK OUT WHAT AND HOW YOUR CHILD IS BEING TAUGHT! 

DON'T GO DOWN THE SAME PATH AS YOUR FRIENDS!!! THERE'S SO MUCH MORE TO LIFE THAN ALCOHOL AND PARTIES! 

I PROMISE YOU, if you want to feel a "high", there is no greater feeling than being in the PRESENCE of GOD! He gives you EVERYTHING YOU HAVE NEED OF. You don't need any foreign substance in your body to cover up your feelings/emotions or having you make wrong choices. Looks like we have enough people doing that these days.

What we need now is people who will stand up for what they believe in! People who will fight for our children! Will fight for our rights as a nation to be the people who God intended us to be. To live in health, to be at peace, and to live prosperous and whole as a nation and as an individual.

This is just COMMON SENSE!!!!!!
