Love - Two sides to the story????

Isn't it just crazy how men and women perceive love differently?

Women feel love when their man only has eyes for them, when he tells them they are beautiful, and goes out of his way for her.
Men feel love when their lady respects him, appreciates him, desires him and lets him know how important he is to her.

I noticed that a negative cycle can happen if we aren't careful. This could be with any friendship/relationship that you have with anyone. You want to feel all of those things from the other person and if you don't, then you in turn don't give him/her the things they want to feel.

A positive cycle can ALSO happen and that is two people loving and giving so much of each other that life is grand!

Most of the time in relationships, people tend to become selfish and only want to give if they are given to. However, these things that we call "love" are good BUT is that really love?

YES! There ARE two sides to the story...it's not male or female. Husband or wife, mother and child or even best friends, ...it is in 1 Corinthians 13.

Love is not a feeling or emotion but we seem to base how we feel on how much love we give. But God tells us that 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. And this is ONLY the beginning.

Did you see where it says NOTHING about "if my husband will show me that I am the most important person to him, I will love him?" No! It tells you to love him EVEN IF he DOESN'T show you that your the most important person.

I challenge you to stick with the 1st side of the story..1 Corinthians 13! It will cause you nothing else but more peace, more joy, more contentment, more everything than you've ever wanted.......and the GREATEST of these is LOVE!!!
